The ecosystem here is primarily savannah and the low-lying vegetation makes the wildlife here easier to spot. Though largely dry and dusty, Amboseli is also home to swamplands, fed by underwater springs from the meltwaters of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 4: Drive from Amboseli to Lake Nakuru

Early morning breakfast. After breakfast depart with packed lunches heading to Lake Nakuru National park. You are booked at The Cliff Lodge, Nakuru.

The Cliff, as it is known, is a boutique camp comprising only 10 tents. Each tent is built on a solid foundation at the edge of the cliff, and faces the lake, allowing guest’s 180 degree views of the panoramic paradise, yet maintaining privacy. Not wanting to waste the view, the tent is spacious and the freestanding bath looks outwards. While the exterior environment at The Cliff is pure Africa, the room interiors combine organic chic with international design to create the understated style of a modern boutique hotel.
Afternoon proceed to Lake Nakuru bird-watching and game drive till sunset. Lake Nakuru is among Kenya’s finest national parks.

Flanked by rocky escarpments, pockets of acacia forest and at least one waterfall, the park is gorgeous year-round and is home to both black and white rhinos, lions, leopards, hippos and endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. Dinner and overnight at The Cliff.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
